TORONTO  – August 21, 2014 – When the weather inside is chill, your footwear should be fashionably warm. The House of Uniikii is partnering with Toronto’s coolest new venue CHILL Ice House, located in the heart of downtown Toronto.   Uniikii’s unique and chic wool boots are part of the staff’s attire at this novel new ‘hot’ tourist attraction at 82 Bathurst Street.

“The partnership between Uniikii and the CHILL Ice House is a perfect match.  Our boots, imported from Finland, are made to handle sub-zero temperatures while keeping the foot comfortable,” said Susan Asunmaa, Co-Founder of the House of Uniikii. “Staff will be warm as well as stylish.”

Uniikii imports handcrafted, eco-friendly footwear, bags and jewelry for women, men, youth and infants.  The warm, wool felt boots that CHILL Ice House staff wear are handmade with each pair taking eight full days to produce.   The boots are designed by noted European shoe designer, Aki Choklat, and are manufactured by Lahtiset in Jamsa, Finland.

‘Our vision for CHILL Ice House was to work with companies who offer quality-based and distinctive products,” remarked Gresham Bayley, co-founder of CHILL Ice House. We absolutely love the boots Uniikii has provided our staff and feel they will attract a lot of positive attention.”

Boots worn by staff at The CHILL Ice House are available for purchase online at www.uniikii.com.

Uniikii was launched in 2012 by co-owners Susan Asunmaa and Joanna Walker.   Based in Toronto, this Canadian company imports unique fashions and is the exclusive distributor for Finnish Lahtiset boots and shoes in Canada.  In the fast-paced world of fashion, Uniikii is committed to setting the standard for authentic socially responsible fashions and functional style featuring products that are unique for the discerning Canadian shopper.
