ONCE UPON A TIME there were two sisters who both practiced public relations. They worked in variety of sectors, bringing their expertise, skills and passion to create award-winning campaigns. The sisters always dreamed of starting their own agency and one day decided to make that dream a reality. This is when Storia PR was born.
Storia PR is a full-service public relations agency. Our strengths come in many forms, but primarily we are here to help you tell your company or brand’s story in a unique and compelling way.
From beginning to end, our goal is to ensure your objectives are met strategically and provide you with creative and meaningful ways to connect with your audience and grow your business.
The best approach is one that encompasses multiple communications touch points because in this day and age, how you tell your story is as important as the story itself.
We believe that communication is the most important and valuable facet of our industry in general and of our company in particular.
Daphna Nussbaum – Principal
Daphna is a communications practitioner with over 12 years of experience. Her first public relations job was for Livent as a coordinator in their PR department where she helped promote mega-musicals such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (with Donny Osmond), Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Blvd. and Ragtime The Musical.
Following her stint at Livent, Daphna returned to her first love, live theatre where she worked for several years as an Equity stage manager for regional theatre companies. Tired of living the ‘gypsy’ life, Daphna obtained a post-graduate certificate in public relations from Humber and never looked back.
She launched her PR career in entertainment working both agency and client-side to promote theatre, television and film. This included doing publicity for theatre companies such as Soulpepper and managing the North American premier of the film, The Gospel of John.
Daphna then moved over to the world of consumer packaged goods where she developed and managed PR campaigns for P&G Beauty brands: Olay, Herbal Essences, Head & Shoulders and Secret. She also supervised influencer and direct-to-consumer campaigns for Pantene, Always and Tampax.
Daphna has managed programs for travel (Hotels.com), Non-profit (Crime Stoppers), Real Estate Marketing and Consumer Health (Spectro), among others. Her biggest accomplishment to-date was organizing the 2013 Crime Stoppers Ball, a major fundraising dinner gala in support of Toronto Crime Stoppers with honourary guest Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair.
Daphna enjoys spending time with her daughters, playing golf with her husband and working with her sister.
